A Leader in Energy

Eurus Energy America

Eurus Energy America is a U.S.-based renewable energy leader. A pioneer in renewable energy development, we own and operate over 700 MW of projects in the United States. Our first wind farm, built in the California desert in 1987, remains in operation today.

In 2017, we completed the construction of the Waianae Solar Project (27.6 MW), the largest solar farm in Hawaii at the time of completion. It is located roughly 10 miles north of Palehua in the Waianae community. We continue to operate Waianae Solar and generate enough clean energy to power over 11,000 homes annually. The electricity that Waianae Solar produces does not produce harmful carbon emissions and is significantly less expensive than the power being produced by Oahu’s existing coal and oil power plants.

We are committed to working with the state of Hawaii and West Oahu to help Hawaii achieve its clean energy goals with an abiding respect for the land and local community.

Eurus Energy America is a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Eurus Energy, which is owned by Toyota Tsusho Corporation (a member of the Toyota Group) and Tokyo Electric Power Company.

Gill Ewa Lands

For three generations, the Gill family has demonstrated its commitment to land conservation by being active and passionate stewards of the land. In 2009, the heirs of Lt. Gov. and U.S. Rep. Tom Gill and conservationist Lorin Gill, purchased 1,600 acres of land along the eastern slope of the Waianae Range. Gill Ewa Lands pledged to keep the lands in agriculture and conservation.

Today, Gill Ewa Lands owns Camp Palehua, which provides environmental education and opportunities for volunteers to engage in ecological restoration. It also leases its lands to agriculture and research partners to fund its restoration work.
